my new website and blog - Komedal Road . . .

Hi everyone!!

I just wanted to give you a little glimpse . . .
of what I have been up to lately - from my new Website and Blog . . .

Here are a few photos from the blog . . .
that will give you an idea of what it is all.

I hope you find them inspiring! :)

For a long time I felt the need to have a Website and Blog where I could share the many things that truly inspire me - a bit more than fresh vintage goods . . .

a place where I could also share my love of great designer fabrics . . .
food from my kitchen . . . time in my studio . . .
and a bit about my family and such.

So even though I knew it would be a step backward in some ways
and perhaps a bit more complicated . . .

I gave it some thought and decided to take the plunge!

I am happy to say - that for the first time since I started blogging . . .
it finally all makes sense to me!

Looking forward to the journey ahead - I have so much I want to share with you!!

Ludlow . . . opening soon!!

Ludlow is an amazing new lifestyle store . . .

opening this March here in Seattle!!

It is owned by my good friend Rick Rochon

and will be located in the Greenwood neighborhood of the city!

I stopped by yesterday to drop a few things off at his request . . .

and was completely blown away at his new space!!

Not only am a grateful for him to ask me to include a few things of his chosing . . .

but my heart began to pound as I saw so many things

that I began to covet immediately . . .

Rick is sooo very talented . . . and he has his own unique style . . .

weather you are at the ocean . . . in the city . . . or in the woods!!

I am quite sure that

Ludlow will soon become one of the really great "go-to" places in Seattle!!

Yes - I absolutely LOVE what he is doing with his store . . .

and I think you are going to love it too!!

A big shout out to a wonderful little vintage home store . . .

owned and operated by the lovely Patrice Greene!!

Patrice truly has an amazing design eye . . .

and her shop is absolutely gorgeous!!

I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled and honored we were . . .

to have a few of our products in her shop over the Holidays!

I only wish I lived closer so I could have seen it in person!!

With warmer weather just around the corner . . .

I am looking forward to seeing what she has planned for spring

as I as sure she will inspire us once again!!

KIDS THRIFT . . .

In a few short weeks we will be launching . . .

Komedal Road

It is my hope that there will be a little something for EVERYONE . . .

including all sorts of great items in our ONLINE shop!

I truly believe that one can have an appreciation and desire for

beautiful, high-end quality items . . .

and at the same time - have the need to address ones own budget issues

especially now - in this economy!

That is why in late 2012

I decided to add a section to our Online shop called . . .

KIDS THRIFT

. . . . .

There will mostly be gently-used quality items for children . . .

with a section for Women's clothing being added in the near future!

Please note that these are not necessarily vintage pieces . . .

but instead - great pieces that I find when I am out and about

looking for quality vintage items

for the Seabold Vintage Market's section of the shop!!

In the next few weeks

we will be filling up the KIDS THRIFT section of the shop with all sorts of . . .

great . . . simple . . . and classic pieces - with truly great pricing!!

(most children's pieces will be under $10.00)

You see - I have always believed in

saving my pennies for that wonderful designer piece . . .

not only do I have true respect for the designer of the piece . . .

but also the quality of the fibers . . . and the quality of the workmanship.

I understand that the high price is a reflection of those things.

Even more so - when the pieces are made right here . . .

in the USA!!!

But, with that being said . . .

I also have a true understanding and appreciation for

gently-used quality clothing at a reasonable price!

Most children do not wear through their clothes at this age

and some items look like they have never been worn.

I personally like to live my life like this . . .

with one foot solidly on one side of the equation . . .

and one foot solidly on the other side of the equation . . .

with a true understanding and respect for both!!

I look forward to sharing more with you in the weeks to come . . .

But - it is my hope to broaden the scope just a bit . . .

and to share with you so many other things that truly inspire me!!

From baking in my little kitchen . . .

to thoughts on interior design and color inspiration.

From designing and working with textiles . . .

to designing a little girls clothing line.

From styling . . . to photography . . .

to planting a vegetable garden come spring.

I want to share with you the talents of my friends . . .

a bit of time with my family . . .

and of course . . . this lovely little island of ours.

But most of all . . .

I want it to be fun . . . and creative . . . to inspire all of you!!

I hope you will come along for the journey . . . :)

In just over a year
Ben Ashby and his team . . .
have produced a Magazine they should be really proud of!!

It is called . . .

FOLK

Real. American. Living.

The Magazine started out with a manifesto all about . . .

sweet tea . . . home-made pie . . .

and oh yes . . . the good old days!

I sat back and watched to see where they were going

with their lifestyle brand . . .

wondering just what it would end up looking like!
